Providing care for someone can be challenging whether you have cared for someone in the past or this is your first time. Each caregiving situation and person you care for has unique needs. To help unpaid caregivers strengthen their caregiving skills, knowledge, and receive ongoing support, we created WeCare. WeCare is available at no cost to you and is an easy-to-use web-based application with short training videos and resources that will help you increase your knowledge and skills based on your individual caregiving needs.
By completing a short enrollment form, WeCare will develop a personalized library of short, informative video courses you can access anytime and anywhere from your smartphone, tablet, or laptop to fit your busy lifestyle. A Training Navigator is available to support you throughout your journey by text message, e-mail, or phone conversation.
WeCare offers:
- Real-time text messaging with a Care Navigator to help guide you through the training.
- Motivational text-messages and reminders to resources and videos.
- Personalized video and resource library specific to your situation and needs.
- Easy access and log-in using your phone number.
Our team is ready to provide access to training and information to empower you as a caregiver so that you can best support your loved one. Upon completion of this intake form, you will receive access to the WeCare Library of caregiver training and educational information including resources customized to meet your unique needs and access to text with us in real time. Upon enrollment, you will receive a welcome message from our Chat line, it is recommended to save this number in your phone as “WeCare Chat.” Using WeCare Chat, you can text us if you have questions about the courses you take!
In addition to the WeCare Library, you will also gain access to the WeCare text messages with real-time chat feature, receive text messages each week with helpful information and guidance from our team straight to your phone. The number of messages varies depending on which courses you take and how long you have been in the program. Text messages will come from the number 43386.
